Directed by Ovation Award-winning director Michael Matthews and featuring original music by Ovation Award-winning composer Gregory Nabours, Failure: A Love Story chronicles the lives, loves, and deaths of the three Fail sisters and the one man who fell in love with each of them. Set against the backdrop of 1920’s Chicago, this touching, whimsical tale explores the impermanence of life and the permanence of love.

Center Theatre Group's Inaugural Block Party

Coeurage's acclaimed production of Failure: A Love Story by Philip Dawkins, first produced in July and August of 2015, was recently honored by being the inaugural show in Center Theatre Group's new 'CTG Block Party' program in April of 2017. The production, directed by Michael Matthews, received the full support of Center Theatre Group and its staff in order to fund, stage, and market the show. Failure played 11 performances at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.
