
Felicia Friesema, Chair
Felicia (she/her) is the head of marketing and communications for Foothill Transit, a public mobility provider in the San Gabriel Valley. She provides general marketing counsel to Couerage and is working to manifest former board member Steve Julian’s final charge to his favorite theater company – don’t stop. Couerage played a key role in Steve and Felicia’s relationship from the staging of one of their first dates (Head Over Heels in 2009) all the way through to a fundraising performance in 2016 to help pay for Steve’s hospice care. Felicia also works as a writer, artist, and community activist in her home community of Highland Park, where she also hosts play readings and company gatherings.

Chelsea Boyd, Vice Chair
Chelsea (she/her) is an actor and writer from Los Angeles. She is an artistic director at Brimmer Street Theatre Company and a communications specialist for the Port of Los Angeles. Chelsea is a graduate of Cal State Fullerton with degrees in Theater and Journalism. She is the author of her own blog at Chelsea-Boyd.com. Chelsea continues to act in intimate theater all over Los Angeles and is honored to be a part of Coeurage's mission and vision.

Jer Adrianne Lelliott
Founding Artistic Director. Jer (she/her) led the company for 10 years, overseeing nearly 40 productions, including Under Milk Wood (Ovation Recommended), Sucker Punch (Ovation Recommended), The Secret in the Wings (Ovation Nominated), Urinetown (Ovation Nominated), Failure: A Love Story (Ovation Winner), The Sparrow (Ovation Nominated), Cannibal! The Musical (Ovation Recommended), The Yellow Boat, Translations (Ovation Recommended), The 4th Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide (Ovation Nominated), Assassins, The Trouble With Words (Ovation Winner), and The Rocky Horror Show.

Paige Rodriguez
Paige Rodriguez (she/her) graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Technical Production & Design. Her stage management career spans over ten years working in various Southern California theatres including Saddleback Civic Light Opera’s McKinnley Theatre, The Historic Lankershim Arts Center, Pasadena Playhouse’s Carrie Hamilton Theatre, and the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse. She served as Coeurage Theatre Company’s Production Manager for two yearsand as Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre Southern California’s lead Booking and Events Coordinator for five years. Prior to moving to Portland, she was the Director of Production & Design at California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley. She currently serves as the Production Manager for the non-profit theatre company, the Red Door Project.

Eddie Vona, Ensemble Representative
is a proud board and company member of Coeurage Theatre Company. Selected credits: Hand To God (Dezart Performs, Desert Theatre League Nomination), Under Milk Wood and The Secret In the Wings (Coeurage), Darkside (The Garage), Chisme y Queso (Center Theatre Group), In Love and Warcraft (Artists At Play), Lend Me a Tenor (Hangar Theatre). He has completed improv training at The Second City and UCB and is an Ovation Voter for the LA Stage Alliance. He is a puppeteer and a tenor with a BFA from NYU: Tisch. www.eddievona.com

Nicole Monet, Treasurer
Executive Director, Board Treasurer. Nicole (she/her) is a founding member of Coeurage Theatre Company. Some of her favorite CTC performances include Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, Squeaky Fromme in Assassins, Rachel in The Fourth Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide, Haley in The Pitchfork Disney and Little Sally in Urinetown. Nicole graduated from MiraCosta College in San Diego before joining the theatre department of California State University, Fullerton where she received her degree in theatre arts and met her future Coeurageous partners!

Joe Calarco, ex officio
Co-Artistic Director. Joe (he/him) was an actor in Chicago for several years before moving west. With Coeurage he directed The Secret in the Wings (Stage Raw Nominated), The Sparrow (Ovation Nominated) The Yellow Boat and The 4th Graders Present an Unnamed Love-Suicide (Ovation Nominated). Joe has created award winning sound designs for numerous Coeurage shows beginning with the second season, and has been featured as an actor in Failure: a Love Story and The Pitchfork Disney, among others.

Amanda McRaven, ex officio
Co-Artistic Director. Amanda works on collaborative, socially-conscious theater and performance that uncovers the creative voice, explores the physical, and re-discovers liveness. She’s a proud Drama League Fellow, SDC Associate, Ovation winner for her direction of The Pliant Girls, member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab, and Fulbright Award recipient to New Zealand, where she worked in community-based theater. She is a professor of performance studies at Cal State Northridge; an Arts in Corrections instructor at Lancaster and Chino state prisons; founder/producer of Los Angeles Lady Arm Wrestlers; and co-founder/co-artistic director of Make Trouble.
