Sara Perry
Sara is a vintage California girl. Born and raised in the capital city of Sacramento, her love of storytelling was cultivated at a very young age. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts from CSU Sacramento. While there she had the pleasure of performing in a variety of shows from The Crucible to 42nd Street to The Adding Machine. She was awarded an Irene Ryan nomination for her comedic role in Loose Knit. She also had the opportunity to discover her passion for directing, dramaturgy, and producing new work. After earning her BA, she was invited to study with The Second City and Steppenwolf Theatre Company on a full scholarship. Sara was an ensemble member of the B Street Theatre’s 08-09 Intern Company where she worked on over a dozen productions, and truly earned her stripes as a theater professional, as well as her Actor’s Equity card. A theatre jane-of-all-trades, Sara is always prepared to do whatever needs to be done to mount a play, tell the story, and entertain an audience. Rising to her role as actor, director, stage manager, seamstress, prop master, front of house, marketer, or producer. She currently acts as the Production Coordinator for Coeurage CoLAB, and as a company member has performed and directed with copious productions! She is proud to be the Producing Director of Live Theatre Blog alongside her collaborators Deven Simonson and Eric Czuleger. Together they have developed and produced over ten new works, and their project was most recently seen on the REDCAT stage in Los Angeles.
